Whoa Doggie
Established in 2022, Whoa Doggie was founded on the belief that pet care should go beyond meeting basic needs—it should be a truly enriching experience for both pets and their people.
Chantelle and Brandy met while working in the dog care industry and quickly discovered a shared passion for high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care. Together, they began building the services and team that have shaped Whoa Doggie into the trusted, enrichment-focused business it is today.
We offer a variety of in-home and on-location services designed to meet the unique needs of each dog, including dog walking, drop-ins, pet sitting, training, playgroups, and daycare. Every service is rooted in safety, fun, and connection.
We are proud members of the Alberta Force Free Alliance, and our team is Fear Free certified in Dog Daycare & Boarding—because your dog’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

Hey there! I’m Chantelle—lifelong dog enthusiast and proud owner of Whoa Doggie.
Over the years, I’ve had many perspectives into the dog world. From being a pet parent and client myself with my own dogs, Ollie & Annie to different roles in dog rescue, daycare and boarding businesses I have had hands-on experience of exactly what it takes and what it means to be on both ends of the leash. This led my passion to create a business that was focused on truly focused on the well-being of the dogs through enrichment based services. I know myself how hard it is to hand your dogs care over to someone new, so I truly appreciate you considering Whoa Doggie as a care provider for your pooch.
My studies in Dog Behaviour have led me to a passion for a Systems Thinking approach when it comes to better understanding our canine companions. Having the opportunity to pair this with my love for enrichment means I get to create experiences that are not only fun for dogs but also meaningful—supporting their emotional, mental, and physical well-being in ways that truly make a difference.
Whether it is group play at The Enrichment Centre or One-on-One time with our in-home services, I take great pride in being able to share my passion with The Whoa Doggie Team and expand our reach of Providing an Enriching Experience for all dogs!

I have been an animal lover as far back as I can remember, this drove me at a young age to work with veterinary clinics, rescues, and pet sitting. Sixteen years ago, I took a step back to try my hand in the corporate world. Although I was very successful, I never lost sight for my true calling – dogs! I started volunteering and fostering again which led me to my goal of being a dog trainer, behaviour consultant, and ultimately to Whoa Doggie!
I hold my Dogma Dog Trainer Certificate, Dogma Certified Behaviour Consultant, and CPDT-KA designations. My training and passion have led me to work and live with dogs with reactivity and fear as well as puppies, giving me real life, hands-on experience with our four-legged companions.

Growing up, I always had dogs as a part of my family which is what led to my dream of working with them. I have years of experience with several different breeds, ranging in ages, which include golden retrievers, pomeranians, labrador retrievers, Australian cattle dogs (heelers), Australian Shepards, and German shepherds. These experiences have strengthened my knowledge of different temperaments and needs. Although these are the breeds that I am most familiar with, I have a love and passion for all dog breeds. Aside from caring for my own dogs, I have also looked after my friends and family member’s dogs. I truly strive to ensure the health and happiness of all pets under my care.

But there’s something about the presence of dogs that you just can’t beat!
I’ve worked within the humane society as well as rescued a mistreated dog myself so I know that dogs just need understanding and compassion. Your dogs happiness will always be my top concern as I understand they are your angels.
